What We Believe

ABOUT GOD:
We believe there is one God who exists in three
persons—the Father, the Son, and the Holy Spirit.

ABOUT JESUS
We believe that Jesus, born of a virgin, is the Son
of God who lived a sinless life, died in our place as
a sacrifice for the sins of mankind, was buried, arose bodily from the grave, ascended into Heaven, and will one day physically return to earth.

ABOUT THE HOLY SPIRIT
We believe that God, the Holy Spirit, is active in
convincing unbelievers of their need for salvation
and is the Comforter and Guide who dwells within
every believer.

ABOUT THE BIBLE
We believe the Bible is the unchanging, perfect Word of God and is the authoritative rule for a life in faith.
​
ABOUT MAN
We believe that mankind is a special creation of God made in His image but that through the sin of the first man, Adam, mankind fell so that all people are sinners in need of salvation.

ABOUT SALVATION
We believe in salvation by grace through faith, that
salvation is a free gift of God not by any virtue or works of man but received only by personal faith in the Lord Jesus Christ. Every person who is truly saved is eternally secure in Christ, so that a believer is once saved, always saved.

ABOUT BAPTISM
We believe that baptism by immersion is an act of obedience, intended as a witness of a person’s faith and as a symbolic portrayal of the death, burial, and resurrection of Christ.
